Jefferson County Education Association-Retired (JCEA-R)
JCEA-R is unified with the Colorado Education Association-Retired (CEA-R) and the National Education Association-Retired (NEA-R) and is an affiliate of JCEA, CEA, and NEA. The benefits of JCEA-R/CEA-R/NEA-R are the same as those for active members (with the exception of coverage by CEA legal services) including: insurance coverage, credit cards, investment programs, and national, state and local publications.
JCEA-R's unified dues structure is divided into two categories:
- Annual Membership: $50.00 a year (includes JCEA-R, CEA-R and NEA-R)
- Lifetime Membership: $475 (includes Lifetime memberships in JCEA-R, CEA-R and NEA-R)
These membership categories may be mixed and matched with yearly memberships until all lifetime categories are paid. Active JCEA members may pre-pay their retired memberships while still teaching.

- Pre-Retirement Seminar:
- Every fall and spring, JCEA and JCEA-R sponsor pre-retirement seminars. Watch for information in in September and February. The seminar will include:
- Early retirement contract provisions
- Pre-retirement lifestyle considerations
- PERA benefits,
- Estate and Long Term Care consideration.
