JCEA's Professional Growth Funds

Professional Growth Funds are a negotiated benefit for Jefferson County educators. These funds are provided for teacher applicants who desire to attend professional and instructional conferences. The administration of professional growth funds is in accordance with Article 15-2 of the JCEA/JCPS Master Agreement.

Application Requirement: Applicants must submit all of the following:

  • Three (3) copies of FORM #942 - REVISED 2008
  • A personal letter outlining the request
  • Registration forms and any other conference information

  • Application deadline will not be extended
  • Faxed applications will not be accepted
  • Level chairperson cannot accept phone calls

Appeals: All appeal letters, original application forms and any additional pertinent information must be sent to: Jim Baker, Human Respurces , Jefferson County School District R-1, 1829 Denver West Dr., #27, Golden, CO 80401.

Appeals may be made only for the following reasons:

  • If denied funds but applied before the deadline.
  • If affected by a late conference announcement date.
  • If holding a recognized office in the national organization and requesting funds more than once a year.

Appeals will be heard by the Professional Growth Steering Committee, the JCEA President, and the District Liaison (Jim Baker) who serves as an ex-officio representative.
